Flashlight Button Redesign
This is a redesign of a flashlight that I own, seen in the first photo. The problem with it is that the buttons protrude out and are easy to accidentally turn on while being carried in a pocket, leaving the batteries dead when the light is actually needed. That part is what I focused on with the redesign. I made several concepts and 3D printed them in a modular set up for testing. After having several people try them I decided the best design was the twist switch option seen in the last two photos. The user simply twists that part clockwise or counterclockwise with their free hand or their thumb.
